B Learning Objectives: b Studies show that concurrent infection of Strongyloides stercoralis in persons infected with human T lymphotropic virus type 1 (HTLV-1) is highly associated with parasite dissemination and development of severe strongyloidiasis. B Methods: b A 41-year-old male patient without comorbidities or known allergies had an abdominal surgery for suspected appendicitis in a regional hospital, however not significant findings were found. The first four tests of tracheobronchial aspirates prove negative for Koch Bacillus however the fifth test showed the presence of Strongyloides Stercolaris (SS). [Extracted from the article]
