The article comments on a study which used the body mass index (BMI) z-scores in predicting responses to clinical based childhood obesity care. Topics include the flaws of BMI measurement which could result to misleading z-scores, the changes in BMI z-scores which are poor predictors in body fat percentage and the inaccuracy of the z-scores when comparing different age groups.
