The article presents information on a retrospective review on cases of children with cleft lip and palate (CLP) who underwent alveolar bone grafting. Topics include the effectiveness of maxillary expansion and cancellous bond graft, the success of alveolar bone grafting in British children based on data from the Clinical Standards Advisory Group (CSAG), and the low complication rates of the procedure which is tolerated will by children.
