The article focuses on the study of photothermal killing of microbes with the use of Polydopamine (PDA) nanocoating. An overview of killing efficiencies of microbes on polymer tubes is given. Also included are the formation of PDA nanocoating by self-polymerization of dopamine onto the substrate and photothermal conversion capability of PDA nanocoating.
