Within the united States, a major health challenge for the 21st Century includes the number of adults over the age of 65 years living with one or more chronic illness. Community members and healthcare professionals, including nurses, increasingly are focused on caring for these individuals and their families. the emerging specialty practice of faith Community nursing offers an innovative addition to current models of healthcare to support caring for adults living with chronic illness to live in abundance. the findings from this qualitative study underscore the importance of developing and maintaining caring community practices that are holistic and intentional.
