Breast cancer is among most common cancer types diagnosed during pregnancy. Approximately 10% of young breast-cancer survivers will become pregnant at least once after their diagnosis. Women who have received systemic chemotherapy may enter menopause at a younger age than other women. Although there are different options and combinations of metods for fertility preservation available, the research evidence is still insufficient to establish the first-line therapy. The risk of infertility should be presented to young patients before the cancer treatment is started.
