Challenging behaviour in a cross-cultural context: a case study.

This case study presents the learning experience of managing challenging symptoms in a client diagnosed with schizophrenia. The patient in question was from a practising Scottish Muslim background and the nursing team caring for him were from a far more Westernised and secular culture, presenting additional challenges to achieving a mutual approach to care. The case study illuminates key learning, clinical and cultural themes and how these came together in bond a caring ane educational sense.
