An essay is presented which discusses the persuasive technique between Old Comedy and ethical crime as rhetoric of humility. It reflects on the 1793 publication "Religion with the Limits of Reason Alone," by German philosopher Immanuel Kant where he began a conflict with Prussian authorities. It also suggests how an interface between the Old Comedy and ethical crime might enable people to recover the rhetoric of humility as a resource for social and moral protest.
