The sigmatropic rearrangement of propargylic sulfinates to allenic sulfones is catalyzed by the silver cation. The Ag1-USY zeolite, as well as non-coordinating silver salts, lead to essentially quantitative yields of the corresponding allenic sulfones. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
