E (3) {\bf 58} (1998), no.~2, part B, 2335--2347; MR1633829 (2000b:68192); see the preceding review] and presents applications of the on-line Gibbs algorithm (OLGA) for a single-layer perceptron, two-layer committee machine, and winner-takes-all classifier. Their asymptotic behavior is studied analytically and numerically. In all the cases studied, OLGA converges to a set of weights that minimize the generalization error. The results of the numerical study agree with the prediction of the analytical results in Part I cited above.
