It provides three stage strategy known as brainstorming, selecting and outlining, and writing (BSOW) which focuses on helping writers develop characters, select a setting, and link supporting ideas for story development. It adds that using a strategic approach to instruction can provide lifelong benefits to students as they apply the skills toward writing tasks of all kinds.
