This study examines how the children's thinking approach used in mathematics content courses is connected to the self-efficacy and beliefs preservice teachers have about mathematics. Surveys completed by control and experimental groups from a large mid-west university indicate that preservice teachers beliefs and efficacy can be altered using such an approach and that efficacy and beliefs about mathematics are related. ..PAT.-Unpublished Manuscript [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
