Unlike developed railways, railway stations in Korea are still planned with limited functions and forms. The main TOD examples of Hong Kong MTRC are selected as role model for the developed form of railway station building plan, and the architectural planning elements in which Hong Kong TOD was successful are derived through case analysis. The factors include the form of high-density multi-use development, 3-dimensional program layout, the use of podium, and the use of public walking paths. Through this study, domestic railway stations to be developed in the future are planned in a more advanced TOD form to solve urban problems and help citizens" life cycle.
