We propose a low-complexity sub-block minimum mean square error (MMSE) receiver for filter-bank multicarrier systems based on quadrature amplitude modulation (FBMC-QAM). We analyze a transmitted and received signal with an effective channel matrix and derive a sub-block MMSE receiver with a part of effective channel matrix. Simulation results show that the proposed receiver has almost the same error probability performance compared to the conventional sub-block MMSE receiver with low computational complexity.
