Generation Z is a generation that has grown up in a digital environment and has a significant role in consumption. The SNSs they use on a daily basis are products that have already entered the mature stage of the product life cycle, and the factors that affect their satisfaction are bound to be different from the introductory and growth stages. Therefore, this study aims to identify the quality factors that affect the satisfaction of Generation Z users when they use SNSs, and to suggest the development direction of SNSs targeting Generation Z in the future. In this study, 222 factors derived from the literature review and 88 factors derived from brainstorming were classified by applying the KJ method, and 4 types, 22 characteristics, and 49 factors that affect the satisfaction of SNS use by Generation Z users were derived. Based on the above classification results, we derived a Kano model questionnaire and analyzed 146 valid questionnaires to derive 3 must-be quality factors, 16 one-dimensional quality factors, 11 attractive quality factors, and 19 indifferent quality factors that affect the satisfaction of SNS use by Generation Z users, and provided a direction for the development of practical SNS products for Generation Z users in the future. The results of this study will contribute to the refinement of services targeting Generation Z, who will be the future consumers, and increase competitiveness.
