This study investigates the recent shift in the fashion industry from traditional business models to digital platforms based on Information and Communication Technology (ICT). It presents practical application case models and technology design strategies, focusing on how the use of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) integrated with new business models encompassing custom product production, personalized customer service, and distribution contributes to the industry's growth and innovation. In South Korea, this transition targets the move from traditional sewing-based fashion to knowledge-based industrialization, leveraging advanced ICT and infrastructure like the Dongdaemun Fashion Cluster. However, challenges such as the absence of global brands, a lack of differentiated products, and insufficient design capabilities continue to impede the growth of the domestic apparel industry in the global market. The study analyzes the digital transformation of fashion companies, both domestically and internationally, with a focus on the integration of cutting-edge IT technology and future development directions. Before proposing a new business model, the study emphasizes the importance of digital transition, ICT infrastructure development, and the utilization of digital-based platforms through a survey based on the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) perspectives. The proposed new business model reasserts that embracing traditional industries while integrating digital convergence can enable sustainable and innovative development through digitization, sustainability, and customer-centric approaches. This research establishes objectives for a new value-creation fashion platform and suggests innovative business strategies, further highlighting the potential for a significant paradigm shift in the fashion industry's approach to technology and customer engagement, and how this shift can effectively address the current challenges, positioning the industry for greater global competitiveness and adaptability.
