About 67% of art galleries in Korea are composed of private art galleries, and among them, there are many art galleries established and operated by the foundation, so it can be seen that the foundation private art museum becomes the basis for leading the culture and art of Korea. After the COVID-19 pandemic, I realized the importance of online art museum exhibitions for the purpose of introducing exhibitions and enhancing the experience of visitors in art galleries. As a result of examining previous studies, research on ways to revitalize online art galleries is limited to national and public art galleries, or the use of online platforms by private art galleries in Korea remains. Therefore, this study proposed a plan to revitalize the domestic private foundation online art museum by comparing the online exhibition type and use of the domestic foundation established private art museum with the foreign foundation established private art museum. The domestic private foundation online art museum was seen providing exhibition viewing using only one or two types in a simplified form compared to foreign countries. In addition, for a variety of exhibition types, there were few alliances with other sites such as Google Arts and Culture, which are frequently used abroad, and limited online exhibitions were operated through their own sites. For this reason, there was a limit to showing the characteristics and identity of the art museum. Therefore, it is necessary to develop and establish an online art museum for the diverse development of private foundation art museums in Korea.
