This study aimed to track the formation process of fear in the drama 'Hell' and to confirm the background of tis spread, using Ito Mamoru’s Affect Theory as a theoretical framework. Mamoru Ito's affect theory is based on Brian Masumi's theory and borrows from Gabriel Tarde's theory, which inherited Leibniz's monad theory. Accordingly, this study analyzed the charactersas the monads, the background of the events as latent states, and the incident as an encounter with affect, and identified the nodal point where fear spreads. Information is supplemented or edited through these nodal points, and beliefs, passions, emotions, and affects are distributed together. The results confirmed that the affect of fear in the drama originated from Jeong Jin-soo's horror emotion, and that Jin Gyeong-hoon's paternal love, Park Jeong-ja's maternal love, and Lee Dong-wook's admiration acted as such Affective Encounters. It was found that the popularization of mobile devices, media, and the Internet played a crucial role. Through this, it was found that the public also contributed to the spread of fear, and the newly emerged Shincheonji Church maintained power through fear. However, it was also confirmed that there is a possibility of countering horror emotions in the drama 'Hell' through parental love. In essence, it is the emotion of love. Additionally, by confirming that Minhye's emotional distress originated from self-blame and anger, a differentiation from the existing conventional narratives was identified.
