The purpose of this study was to examine the correlation between the publishing censorship system and cases with 『The contents and classification of Eonmunsonyeon- sonyeodokmul(1927.12-1928.08)』 as the subject, which was publication censorship materials produced by the police bureau, the Japanese Government-General of Korea during the Japanese colonial rule. This document contains deletions of children’s publications created after April 1926, when the Books Department was founded under the police bureau of the Joseon Government General, which includes 88 deleted articles. In particular, while organizing 88 kinds of data, it was classified into ‘nationalist reading materials,’ ‘socialist reading materials,’ and’reading materials available to both parties’ and placed ten items below, enabling to confirm in detail the reason for censorship. These items and classified deleted articles have a great significance to complement and strengthen the censorship standards that have begun to be systemized to control the thought of the publications after the establishment of the library department at the time. The purpose of this study was to compare this with the censorship standards identified in the preceding studies to check the newly created censorship standards for children’s publications to trace their meaning. For this process, particularly, this material written in Japanese that has not been completed so far has been translated and released so that the meaning of each case can be confirmed in detail.
