The purpose of this study is to investigate the structural relationship among learners’ perceived usefulness, learning engagement, learning presence, and learning persistence in micro-learning-based MOOC. To this end, a survey was conducted targeting students of micro learning based K-MOOC courses opened at A and B universities in Seoul. Finally, a total of 258 data were collected and analyzed. The study results were as follows. First, perceived usefulness did not directly affect on the learning persistence, but had an indirect effect by mediating learning engagement. Second, learning presence had a moderating effect between perceived usefulness and learning engagement. Third, learning presence had a moderating effect between perceived usefulness and learning persistence. This study empirically verifies the factors influencing on the relationship between perceived usefulness and learning persistence in micro learning-based MOOC, and suggests academic and practical implications.
