The purpose of this study is to develop a parent-participated physical activity program by experiencing and understanding the needs of parents and instructors who participated in the program based on Bronfenbrenner’s (2006) human development bioecological system theory. Qualitative case study has been conducted by the focus group interview with parents(n=4) and instructors(n=2). The collected data were analyzed in the order of visualizing the interview, coding, and conceptualizing. 2 categories, 11 higher order themes and 30 lower order themes derived by inductive analysis. First, the development in micro-system of parents through the experience of the program were found. The parent could rediscover the abilities of their child with developmental disability(DD) and even attempted to connect the activities at-home. The instructors of the program developed themselves by improving their teaching-skills, counseling-skills and formed a consensus from the perspective of the parents. Second, the development in meso-system by the betterment in parent group with a positive interaction in the relationship between parents and instructors, parents and parents. The parents were learning the parenting skills by observing instructors teaching style and the instructors were gaining motivations from the direct feedbacks from the parents. Third, the participants had difficulties in adapting to the program, however those were personal factors which could be overcome. Coorporation of the macrosystem were requested as a result to allow more families with DD child to participate in such parent-participated physical activity programs. Sustainable support and cooperation of the local communities and related organizations were emphasized along with the consideration of program accessibility of each communities. Moreover, the need for active promotion of the purpose of the program is suggested for the opportunity of adaptetd physical activity (APA) specialists to foster quality human resources.
