This study explored the impact of consumption values on consumption behaviors of millennial female consumers. As a result of collecting samples from 18-34-year-old women in both Korea and China through a survey, the acceptance price of cosmetics was the most in the 70,000-90,000 won range. As a result of hypothesis testing, functional value, situational value, epistemological value and social value according to nationality showed differences. While Chinese consumers have higher functional and epistemological values of cosmetics than Korean consumers, Korean millennial consumers have higher social and situational values than Chinese consumers. Next, the effects of consumption value on purchase persistence, price sensitivity, brand pursuit, and mood change were different for Korean and Chinese millennial consumers. These results provide practical as well as academic implications on the difference in consumption value and the impact on cosmetics consumption for millennial consumers in Korea and China.
