The study was to investigate effects of Sit-to-stand (STS) movement on walking in patients with stroke. Methods Two participants with hemiplegia received sit-to-stand movement training. The treatment was conducted one hour a day, 3 times a week for four weeks. The subjects were measured with Five times sit to stand test (FTSS), Timed "Up & Go" test (TUG) and 10m walking test. Results The results were as following: FTSS and 10m walking test were improved in two subjects. In the TUG, subject 1 was improved. Conclusion This study showed that walking speed became better after training of STS movement.
