In this article, we explored folk customs and the influence of classical literature such as mythology and sekkyou found in the descriptive structure of the anime 'Weathering with you' The social situation and the sacrifice of Hina, the female protagonist of 'Weathering with you', who was orphaned due to the dissolution of her family, are very similar to the situation of the female protagonist in the sutra. In addition, it can be seen that Hina's sacrifice is an extension of the motif of human offerings that is often seen in sekkyou, such as becoming a pillar for the safety of the community. On the other hand, it can be said that the act of Hodaka, who visited the heavenly world in search of hidden Hina and fought the Dragon god and saved her is similar to what Susanoonomikoto did to save Kushinadahime in 'kojiki' In short, the act of scooping up Hina despite hardships can be interpreted as a strong resistance to the violence of society, in which orphans without relatives, are sacrificed for the well-being and safety of the community.
