Entomopathogenic fungi have the most important role as biological control agents, and there are so many distributions that 100 genera and 750-1000 species are reported worldwide. The main route of entry of fungi is through the epidermis of insects or penetrates and infects through wounds or organs. Entomopathogenic fungi are most widely belong to Ascomycota, and the main genus are Beauveria, Metarhizium, Isaria, Paecilomyces, and Cordyceps. And as a species of these genera, it can be used to control pests. It is used in various ways in Korea and abroad, and there are Chongchesak, Chongjinshak, and Baekgangtan in Korea, and Mycotrol, Botanigard, and Met52 abroad.
