This paper analyzes Hwacho Taryeong from Simcheongga. Hwacho Taryeong of Simcheongga by four master singers‚ Kim Chang-ryong‚ Park Rok-ju‚ Park Dong-jin‚ and Jeong Jeong-jin‚ was compared and analyzed for its musical characteristics along with the lyrics.First‚ the results of comparing the contents of the editorials are as follows. Looking at the characteristics of the Aniri section‚ Kim Chang-ryong was unable to use various Aniri due to limitations in recording time‚ but he mentioned the sound power of Jeong Chun-pung‘s deoneum‚ and Park Rok-ju‚ Jeong Jeong-jin‚ and Dong-jin Park‘s narrated Aniri correspond to the plot of Simcheongga‚ such as the return of the Dosagong and the emperor‘s current status. Park Dong-jin additionally mentioned Park Ki-hong and Cho Hak-jin in the latter part of the story and added sound history. Moving on to the sound‚ the lyrics of Kim Chang-ryong‚ Park Rok-ju‚ and Park Dong-jin were identical except for a slight change in the arrangement of the front and back verses in the part where Chinese poetry and flowers were placed‚ but Jeong Jeong-jin‘s lyrics were edited differently from other master singers. In the section listing flowers and fruits‚ it was found that flowers and fruits appeared in the order of Park Rok-ju‚ Jeong Jeong-jin‚ Kim Chang-ryong‚ and Park Dong-jin. Second‚ the results of comparing musical characteristics by dividing them into tone‚ appearance sound‚ vocal range‚ melody comparison‚ Buchimsae‚ and Sigimsae are as follows. In terms of musical tones‚ Kim Chang-ryong effectively utilized three musical tones by changing them six times‚ but Park Rok-ju used one musical tone and composed the sound without much change. Park Dong-jin and Jeong Jeong-jin added variety to the music by changing three musical tones five times.Kim Chang-ryong‚ Park Rok-ju‚ Park Dong-jin‚ and Jeong Jeong-jin all used a variety of vocal ranges and appearance sounds of less than two octaves in a single seventh. When comparing melodies‚ all four famous singers used the most complex progressions‚ followed by the most frequent use of ascending leap progressions. Afterwards‚ when looking at the overall statistics‚ it was possible to examine the melody progression in the following order: descending leap progression‚ descending sequential progression‚ ascending sequential progression‚ and homophonic progression.Buchimsae was analyzed using the same analysis method since Kim Chang-ryong‚ Park Rok-ju‚ and Jeong Jeong-jin are the jungmeori and jungjungmeori rhythms. The large-madi long three-beat type was used most often‚ and staggered combinations could only be found in the sounds of Kim Chang-ryong and Jeong Jeong-jin. Park Dong-jin used the Bondibuchi Daemadi Daesangdan Type 2 the most and used the Eotbuchim 6 times‚ the most among the four master singers.Sigimsae was used from 3 tones in 1 syllable to 6 tones in 1 syllable‚ with 3 sounds in 1 syllable being used the most.Through this‚ it could be confirmed that‚ in the case of Hwacho Taryeong from Simcheongga‚ even though the rhythms were different‚ the common features of the lyrics were sung with diverse musicality depending on individual interpretation and expression. In this paper‚ we only looked at the sounds of four master singers‚ however it is expected that more diverse aspects of Hwacho Taryeong will be revealed if we expand the comparison to Simcheongga‚ which is not currently transmitted‚ or Hwacho Taryeong‚ which has not yet been discovered.
