Chinese Wushu is one of the important traditional cultures. As an ICH, it has rich historical heritage values and carries the wisdom and cultural deposits, yet it is facing an endangered situation under the double impact of modern technology and globalisation. The rise of digital technology has provided new opportunities for the preservation and inheritance of intangible Wushu heritage. Digital technology can revitalize Chinese Wushu and form new links with other fields. This study explores the survival status of Chinese Wushu and the application status of digital technology in conservation and inheritance, and provides solutions to promote the inheritance and dissemination of ICH culture. First, it elaborates the importance of digital protection of Chinese Wushu under the general trend of ICH culture protection and inheritance at home and abroad from the theoretical level, the realistic level, the social level and the economic level. It mainly adopts a variety of methods such as literature method, interdisciplinary research method, case study method, field research method, empirical research and development method, and expert interview method to conduct the research. Combing domestic and foreign ICH culture digitisation-related literature to understand the current situation and progress at home and abroad, it is believed that these studies can provide theoretical support and practical reference in the aspect of the ICH culture digitisation of Chinese Wushu. At the same time, based on the core conceptual world and basic theory, the meaning, characteristics and principles of “ICH” is clarified in accordance with the Convention for the Protection of ICH, so as defined in the concept of “Chinese Wushu as ICH”. In addition, the characteristics are defined in this way. At the same time, the cultural and sports characteristics of ICH culture - Wushu have also been clarified. Many domestic scholars have put forward their own academic views on the “protection” and “inheritance” of Wushu, and have proposed their ideas for the development of the ICH of Wushu. In terms of digital protection and inheritance technology for Wushu ICH, clarify the three concepts of digitalisation, digital survival, and digital technology, and regard “digital protection” as a new path for the protection of intangible Wushu heritage. Second, an analysis of the current status of digital preservation of Chinese Wushu at home and abroad is carried out. It mainly introduces digital protection methods for traditional Japanese Wushu, Muay Thai, and European historical Wushu, as well as mechanisms for digital sharing of Wushu resources across industries and departments. The main ideas for the digital protection of Chinese Wushu are, first, to protect and spread Wushu culture and build Wushu museums; second, to promote Wushu teaching, training, fitness and entertainment assisted by digital technology; third, to involve universities and research institutes participate in the digital protection of Wushu ICH; fourth, to create digital culture and creativity to help the development of the Chinese Wushu industry. Finally, the practical characteristics of digital protection of Chinese Wushu at home and abroad are comprehensively explained, which can provide references for this study. Third, the Chinese Wushu heritage of Shandong province was selected as a typical case. The study found that although Shandong province ranks high in the number of Chinese Wushu at all levels, there are still many types that have gradually lost their cultural space for survival and development due to social changes. Shandong province has done a lot of work in the digital protection of Chinese Wushu, which has its own certain strengths and limitations, mainly in terms of the lack of a unified digital specification, the lack of an effective way of sharing resources, and the lack of a stable mechanism of co-operation. Based on the above current situation, this study believes that the protection and inheritance dilemma of Chinese Wushu faced by Shandong, a major Wushu province, is generally representative of the current state of survival of traditional Chinese Wushu. Therefore, the study uses it as a research sample to explore the digital survival and development of traditional Chinese Wushu. Fourth, the protection and inheritance of Wushu is explored from the perspective of digital application technology. On the one hand, it is to build knowledge about the Chinese Wushu. Under the guidance of knowledge ontology technology, the field ontology editing tool Protégé and the map database Neo4j are used as examples to implement Chinese Wushu resources in Shandong province in an attempt to build an ontology knowledge base for Wushu ICH resources in Shandong province. On the other hand, the design practice and results display of the Chinese Wushu dissemination platform is established. It is very important to build an integrated platform for the dissemination and experience of Wushu ICH culture. Using a combination of Chinese Wushu and app development in Shandong province, the demand for Wushu apps is analysed, with its functional positioning and framework design defined, and the main page interaction process of the app designed, so as to promote the integration of the dissemination and experience of Chinese Wushu culture. Finally, it is beneficial to summarize and refine. I believe that this research is a kind of work that cross-integrates the culture and technology, and puts forward the limitations and future prospects of this research. In particular, in the application of digital technology, the specific technology and the implemented software and hardware systems have not been analysed and explained, which requires the relevant researchers to do the subsequent supplementation and research to improve the theoretical and applied research system in this field.
