The Purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between time management behavior and organizational effectiveness of korean police officers. Although the relationship between time management behavior and organizational effectiveness have been one of the most important theme of police organization, there has been rarely an attempt that deals with correlations between time management behavior and organizational effectiveness. Most preceded studies about time management behavior have been confined to "definition", "component part of time management(or time management behavior)". But, in specified organization, time management behavior have an effect on organizational effectiveness very diverse. Especially, there may be difference between private organization and public organization. Good time management skills have been related to both physical and psychological condition. This dissertation focused on the development of a content valid measure of time management to allow further exploration. Such an instrument, in the future, could allow identification of specific time management skills related to specific organization(whether public organization or private organization, especially, police organization) related behaviors. In order to create this instrument and explore the relationship between time management and organization related variables This study, the effects on Time Management Behavior of Korean Police Officers to Organizational Effectiveness is summarized as follows: In the beginning, I exhibited the object, the range, the way of this study. As theoretical background, first of all, I defined time management and time management behavior. And then I listed component part of time management behavior, examined preceded studies about time management. The next, I examined effect factor on time management behavior of korean police officer. Effect factor on time management behavior of korean police officer are personal characteristics, time matrix, degree of time management satisfaction. Also, I examined organizational effectiveness. Organizational effectiveness have many component factors. Therefore, I examined preceded studies which is related to organizational effectiveness. Job satisfaction, organizational absorption is used as sub-value about organizational effectiveness. Finally, I examined relationship between time management behavior and organizational effectiveness. The methodology used in this study is based largely on Time Management Behavior Scale, Time Management Questionnaire. Also, a organizational effectiveness questionnaire comprised two categories: job satisfaction, organizational absorption. 1,308 police officers from korea was selected as subjects and 1,110 police officers among them responded to the survey and use 1,033 police officers' response in actual analysis. The frequency analysis was conducted in order to identify the sociological characteristics of each subject. afterwards, Factor analysis, which tests the validity of recorded logs, was used to extract the variables. Also, in order to test the reliability of the test logs, Cronbach's alpha was used in reliability analysis. And statistical techniques such as step wise multiple regression, Anova, T-test, crosstabs, were used on data-processing with SPSS for Windows 18.0. The study result showed that most of the police officer who were the participants of this study seemed to be a correlation between sociological characteristics and time management behavior, organizational effectiveness, a degree of time management satisfaction, organizational time culture. Hence, it would be possible to say that the experiment model was proven to be true. The possibility of additional research can now be discussed, as assertion of scholars on connection between sociological characteristics and time management behavior, organizational effectiveness, a degree of time management satisfaction, organizational time culture. This study discuss the ways to improve organizational effectiveness through effective time management behavior in korea police organization. What korea police organization improve time management behavior of korea police officers will drive improved organizational effectiveness of korea police. This study results showed that the difference of time management behavior of sociological characteristics, especially, level of work(national police agency, province police agency, police station, mini police station), police officer's post or division(invizatgation section, traffic division, foretgn aff im division, crime prevention division, police administration division, detective division, etc. Therefore, to improve organizational effectiveness, it is very important that police organization must recognize effect of time management behavior of police officers. The limit of this study is that the concept of time management or time management behavior is relatively new and there are many disputes on measurement of time management or time management behavior. This study more focused on the application possibility of time management or time management behavior in public organization, especially, Korea Police. If police organization have effort to improve effective time management or time management behavior, and to develop that, police organization will have more high organizational effectiveness. because characteristics of police work. is very unique to compare with other public organization.
