The museum's digital movement has changed the way people view exhibitions and shifted some power into the hands of tourists to meet their needs for personalized services. While using the new technology can improve displays and space, but technology always depends on the content it transmits and serves its stakeholders. The primary purpose of this study is to establish the assessment criteria for intelligent museums. The second is to explore the relationship between intelligence and tourist satisfaction. To achieve these goals, we start with the difference between the current status of museums and tourists' expectations of intelligent museums and give our definition of intelligent museums. Based on literature analysis and expert interviews, we sorted out the assessment criteria of intelligent museums, including six dimensions and 28 indicators. Combined with these six factors and their correlation coefficients, we proposed a calculation method of intelligence evaluation. Besides, we invited four experts to score the four museums they visited together according to intelligent museums' assessment criteria. Finally, with the highest intelligence score, the Palace Museum was selected as a questionnaire survey case. A total of 602 questionnaires were received, of which 515 were valid. We discuss the relationship between museum intelligence level and tourist satisfaction through exploratory factor analysis and regression analysis. Also, we conclude the relationship between the six factors of the intelligence assessment criteria of museums and tourist satisfaction is positively correlated. Among them, the factors of technology integration are the most relevant. The performance module has the most significant impact on tourist satisfaction. This paper puts forward a standard to measure museums' intelligence, tests it, and puts forward a calculating method to quantitatively evaluate museums' intelligence. The relationship between intelligence and tourist satisfaction is also discussed. Our goal is to provide an intelligent evaluation standard for museums in future research and reference museums' future design practice and theoretical research.
