This study analyzed consumers' decision-making according to the price display method in the context of presenting a lineup that presents three products that differentiate price and quality. In Experiment 1, an experiment was conducted to determine if there was a difference in the choice of line-up products when presented as a partitioned price. As a result of the study, when the price of an high product was partitioned into the price of an intermediate product, the choice of an intermediate product was low and the choice of an high-priced product was higher. This is because to choose an high-priced product that is favorable to quality in a price-quality trade-off relationship because people consider getting quality more than the cost to pay. In Experiment 2, as another method of presenting the partitioned price in Experiment 1, the difference in choice is confirmed when the intermediate product is also presented as the partitioned price. As a result of the study, when both products were presented partitioned, the intermediate product was lower and the high priced product choice was higher, but the mediating effect was not shown as in Experiment 1. Taken together, it was confirmed that even if a compromise effect occurs in the context of the product lineup, presenting it as a partitioned price can lower the option of an intermediate product and increase the option of an high priced product. The results of this study provide practical implications for marketers who simultaneously launch multiple products as a lineup to increase the choice of high price-high quality products for consumers who choose intermediate product by recognizing uncertainty.
