This study aims to provide the base data for promoting school sports clubs by providing the empirical information for dance classes of the actual school sports club and recognizing the educational value and significance of dance classes based on the investigation of the relationship between emotion intelligence, physical self-efficacy, and school adjustment of dance class participants in school sports club activities. The researcher randomly selected middle schools in Yangcheon-gu, Seoul, and used questionnaires from 226 middle school students to achieve the study's purpose. The collected data were analyzed through exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, frequency analysis, independent sample t-test, one-way ANOVA, and multiple linear regression, resulting in the following results. First, given the demographic characteristics, women were statistically more significant in school friends than men by gender, and that there were significant differences in the subfactors of school classes depending on their sports club experience. Second, the subfactors of emotional intelligence had positive effects on perceived physical ability and confidence on physical self-expression, which are subfactors of physical self-efficacy. Specifically, among the subfactors of emotional intelligence, the appraisal of emotion in others, utilization of emotion, and appraisal of emotion in self influenced the perceived physical ability and physical self-presentation confidence. Third, the perceived physical ability, a subfactor of physical self-efficacy, positively affected all subfactors of school adjustment. Fourth, the subfactors of emotional intelligence, such as the appraisal of emotion in others, utilization of emotion, and appraisal of emotion in self, had positive effects on school friends, school teachers, school rules/environments, and school classes, which are the subfactors of school adjustment. This study examined the relationship between emotional intelligence, physical self-efficacy, and school adjustment of the participants in the school sports club's dance class, and will be retrieved as preliminary data for future study on dance classes of the school sports club.
