Recently, retail distribution channels have developed and used shopping applications as marketing strategies, and the growth of professional category vertical commerce companies is remarkable. Therefore, this study aims to present theoretical and practical implications by analyzing the characteristics and quality of applications and analyzing the relationship between consumer attitude, consumer flow, and purchase intention. Retail distribution channels are using digital technology to introduce services as if they were in real stores using virtual reality(VR) and augmented reality(AR) to increase consumer flow in shopping experiences. The results of this study showed that the playfulness, information provision, and usefulness of the application had a positive effect on consumer attitudes. In addition, as a result of examining the mediating effect of consumer attitude and flow when the quality of the application affects purchase intention, consumer attitude was found to have a significant effect on purchase intention, but flow was not significant. Application quality had a greater impact on purchase intention than application characteristics. Based on these results, retail distribution channels want to provide practical implications that the quality of applications such as user experience(UX) and augmented reality(VR) that lead to fun and interest in the shopping process should be continuously improved so that consumer flow can lead to purchase.
