Based on Steiner's cognitive theory, Waldorf's education can be defined as an artistic education to foster holistic humans. While modern education produces humans uniformly according to the institutional framework, education at the Waldorf School aims to grow with humans at the center. Waldorf's education consists of art-oriented integrated education, and music is at the center of it. In schools, education is being provided to discover one's world through music and to be reborn as a human being who can express freely. This thesis studied the educational contents and application methods of Waldorf and presented a teaching and learning guidance plan for students in the lower grades of elementary school. Steiner saw humans as an integration of body, soul, and mind, and explained that by developing them harmoniously, it is possible to grow into a holistic human being. Music education is essential for children's holistic growth, and based on this educational ideology, art-oriented integrated education is being provided at Waldorf School. Waldorf School was established in 1919 based on Steiner's educational ideology, and is an integrated system that combines elementary and secondary courses as a comprehensive school with a total of 12 years. In Waldorf education, classes are conducted in connection with each other, and textbooks and electronic media are not used to develop students' creativity. In addition, Waldorf's unique classes such as "Epoch Class," "Formen," and "Eurythmy" are held. In this thesis, a teaching and learning guidance plan was formed for lower-grade elementary school students at the time of emotional development, and various educational methods of Waldorf education were used. In the first session, he understood the lyrics through reciting the lyrics of the sanction song, and learned the five-note scale using Waldorf's educational method. In the second session, simple rhythm instruments were used to understand the rhythm and rhythm of the song. In the third session, children drew their own pictures and expressed them with their bodies through a linked class between Formen and Oiritmi. In the fourth session, the class was completed through the activity of making my own study notes in which students organize what they learned earlier. The education of the Waldorf School discussed earlier shows some implications for us to pursue. First, the education of the Waldorf school can foster students' creativity. In Waldorf education, artistic activities such as music and art are actively pursued to elicit students' leading and creative ideas. It focuses not only on the results, but also on allowing students to observe themselves and think creatively. It also improves children's thinking skills. Waldorf's education is thoroughly conducted in accordance with the child's development stage, and children's thinking skills can be improved when education consistent with their internal state is provided. Second, the education of the Waldorf school develops into a mature human being in the mutual relationship of the community. Through orchestra classes or Oiritmi classes held at Waldorf School, students value overall harmony and naturally learn about social aspects. Activities that cooperate with each other toward this common goal will be necessary education for an increasingly personalized society. Third, Waldorf School's education aims for a holistic education and develops students' abilities in harmony. Rather than stereotyped education, holistic education is practiced by connecting students' interests and qualities to the art field. Within an education consisting of an artistic composition, students learn voluntary learning attitudes and various knowledge. Waldorf's educational method, which integrates music and other subjects, can help students develop overall. In this study, the education of the Waldorf school was reviewed and a teaching and learning guidance plan was presented to apply it to the educational field in Korea. Currently, education in Korea has been strategized as an economic means, and from an early age, entrance examination-oriented education is being conducted, and dehumanization is taking place. On the other hand, Waldorf's education aims at the holistic growth of children through human-centered education. As Waldorf's education is known in Korea, more and more schools are trying to practice such education, but there are still many difficulties in applying it to the educational field in Korea. I would like to make the following suggestions on the direction to apply the education of Waldorf School to the educational field in Korea. First, in order to apply Waldorf's education to music education in Korea, educational programs for teachers must be prepared, and more support and appropriate program development are needed for this. Second, this study presented a teaching and learning guidance plan that applied Waldorf's educational method to lower-grade elementary school classes, but research needs to be conducted so that such education can be connected to middle and high schools. Third, the education of the Waldorf school cannot be said to be unconditionally correct, and the way to copy it is not good. Therefore, it is necessary to first grasp Steiner's philosophy and Waldorf's educational intentions and find our own teaching methods accordingly.
