In this study, the ventilation evaluation and CFD simulation of one-rooms around universities were carried on and intended to present them as basic data for improving indoor air quality in the rooms around universities. In the first and second semesters, IAQ measurements and surveys were conducted in 40 studio rooms near the university, and statistical analysis and CFD simulation were analyzed with the data which have been collected. The original rooms subject for this study were divided into open-type and separated-type one-room due to the spatial structures, and the survey was conducted based on this. The concentration of CO in the one-room under investigation did not exceed the reference value (1000 ppm) in all of the one-rooms under investigation, but the concentration of CO in 14 one-rooms were over the reference value (1000 ppm) while there were 40 subjects have been measured totally. The results of CO and CO showed significant differences between different one-rooms. In both the first and second semesters, the key factors to the degradation of IAQ in the enclosed space had been found, including ventilation lacking, living pollution, cooking, smoking, furniture and so on. Comparison of indoor and outdoor pollutant statistical analysis showed the significant differences between PM2.5, PM10, temperature, humidity and the speed of wind, which means outdoor factors didn’t have great influences on the IAQ, in fact the major reasons of the air quality change were caused by the indoor factors’ change. Due to the calculating result of the necessary amount and times of ventilation for maintaining the one-rooms IAQ, what were measured in the first and second semesters, in the standard range. the least ventilation amount were 37∼186 m³/h,this value is more than the standard ventilation amount of most of the one-room with one person lived, even six times over the standard. Also, the times of the ventilation was in the range from 0.6 to 3.4 rev/h, and the living room and other rooms of 26 one-rooms in the subjects in this research need to be ventilated for more than one time(per hour), while 9 of them need to be ventilated for more than twice. The results of survey showed that the time of staying in the house the second semester is longer than the first semester. Most of the people were satisfied with the IAQ, but actually the harmful substances in the air were colorless,flavorless and odorless, it was suggested to be effected by the asexual anesthesia and the familiar indoor space. The selected one-rooms' simulations of time gradient and different season showed that the ventilation efficiency of No. 4 one-room is the lowest, and the result of No. 2 separated-type one-room is the best, which suggests the direction and the angle of the window openings have great effects on the ventilation efficiency of the room. All of the research subjects(one-rooms) were ventilated by natural ventilation, so the results suggested the most important factors of ventilation efficiency were the position, the direction of the window, and the direction of blowing wind, even the position where the wind blow through the room. Therefore, if there was any position where wind cannot blow into the room, or there was not any windows in the direction of the wind blow-in, the wind could be induced and flow together by the bulged walls to improve the IAQ.
