In this paper, I examined how the distribution of movie theaters changed according to changes in the film industry before and after COVID-19. As a result of the study, OTT accounted for more than movie theaters after COVID-19, and the number of audiences, theater sales, and the number of visits per person decreased significantly in 2020. However, from 2021, these figures gradually recovered and the number of screens nationwide changed to an increasing trend. Second, the growth in the number of screens since COVID-19 has been greater in Provinces(DO) than in cities, and both regions have tended to be more spatially dispersed, with movie theaters opening in outlying or suburban areas rather than in traditional centers. Third, even after COVID-19, the proportion of multiplexes was still high, and special theaters accounted for a greater proportion in city areas and large cities than in small and medium-sized cities in the Provinces(Do). With the establishment of small movie theaters in the Provinces(Do), movie theaters have been evenly distributed spatially than before, but the aspect of multiplexes and special movie theaters concentrated in large cities is still a task to be solved.
