The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the mediating effects of insurance company trust and insurance agent competence in measuring attitudes toward insurance and influencing service satisfaction and repurchase intention among consumers who purchase insurance products. Consumer attitudes were categorized into perceived benefits and perceived risks to identify differences between positive and negative attitudes. The t-test and one way ANOVA were used to analyze the attitudes toward insurance according to the characteristics of the respondents, and regression analysis was conducted to identify the mediating role of insurance company trust and agent competence in the influence of consumer attitudes on service satisfaction and repurchase intention. The results of the analysis are summarized as follows There was a difference in perceived benefits of insurance based on marital status, but the average attitude was very low. In terms of age differences, those in their 50s and above were more likely to perceive risks than those in their 40s. There were no other differences based on the characteristics of the respondents. In the mediation effect analysis of insurance company trust, it was confirmed that it has a full mediation effect on perceived benefits and service satisfaction, perceived risks and repurchase intention, and partial mediation effect on other variables. The main implications of this study are that unmarried consumers have relatively high perceived benefits of insurance, so it is necessary to develop products that target them as core targets, and people over 50 have higher perceived risks than other age groups, so it is necessary to induce attitude change by providing information and improving understanding of insurance. In addition, consumer attitudes can change depending on the credibility of insurance companies and the competence of insurance agents, so efforts to renew the corporate image and training to improve the competitiveness of insurance agents should be continued.
