A purpose of this study is to examine dominant ideology of 『Soo-il and Soo-il』 closely. In order to analyze this juvenile novel, we invoke the 'hailing' concept as Althusser defined. On the surface, this novel speaks of credentialism. We live in the society that academic success is like 'a caste system', then children have to study hard. And this novel speaks of a patriarchal ideology. For making children to study, parents use his power to children. We have analyzed a dialogue aspect of Soo-il's family, then we are known that Soo-il's family is organized that exists to power structure between parents to children. A character's action structure is shown to aspect of reappearance of ideology. For having analyzed a character's action structure, we are known that this text is organized to mean an ideology that 'the youth must obey the old' by degrees. Because it is emphasized this ideology, we are not communicated the subjects neither 'Don't tame anything' nor 'One must not neglect one's duty' on this text. This text means it more powerfully that a child is punished unless he obeys his parents. This is a code of parents. Therefore, we are known that 『Soo-il and Soo-il』 is shown a code of parents rather than one of child though this text is for children.
