Consumers in the MZ generation emphasize personalization, making it crucial for marketing to enhance brand storytelling to increase engagement. BOITOWN perfume faces a significant challenge in expanding its brand due to its packaging's lack of distinctiveness. The study aims to understand how to elevate brand recognition and develop abstract art packaging designs. The research method involves literature review and case analysis to grasp the narrative and abstract art in perfume branding, including definitions, characteristics, and current trends. It proposes two innovative design suggestions out of fifteen sketches for container and box packaging, with the final plan derived from survey feedback. The first objective is to enhance brand narrative through the packaging's color, abstract expression, and layout. The second involves creating designs with abstract illustrations that are closely related to the product, contrasting and engaging. There are two design directions: one with an ink wash abstract style and the other with an abstract figurative style. The third objective is to compare and analyze these designs and select the container materials. Key aspects of brand storytelling include visual storytelling impact and the integration of elements like "abstract art," "narrative," "color," "layout," and "typography." The use of abstract illustration in packaging significantly influences brand recognition. This research offers valuable practical insights for the design field, which currently requires a vast array of packaging design solutions.
