This research is aimed at finding out how does different extent of club activities participation of Korean and Chinese college students influence interpersonal empowerment and self-directed learning abilities. By using purposeful sampling method of non-probability sampling method, 655 questionnaires of students from A University from Korea and B University from China will be analyzed statistically. Six conclusions will be concluded according to the data analysis. Firstly, interpersonal empowerment level is differentiated according to different nationality(Chinese & Korean). Compared with Chinese college students, the level of Korean college students' self-directed learning ability is a little bit higher while no significant difference. Secondly, the difference between male and female Korean college student is not significant while there is significant differences among Chinese students. Thirdly, there is no significant difference of interpersonal empowerment regarding grade level. When taking grade level into consideration, there is significant differences among Korean students while the difference is not significant among Chinese students. Fourthly, the influence of participation of club activities on interpersonal empowerment and self-directed learning ability of both countries are significantly positive. It represents that higher participation level of club activities leads to higher level of interpersonal empowerment and self-directed learning ability. Fifthly, the level participation of club activities is correlated with the sub-factors of interpersonal empowerment and self-directed learning ability. Sixthly, compared with Korean students' explanatory power of participation of club activities on interpersonal empowerment which is 8.2%, Chinese student is higher which is 16.0%. The explanatory power of Korean students participation of club activities on self-directed learning ability is 13.6% while Chinese is much higher which is 16.8%.
