This is a study on the creation aspect of Li Xiangjue's poem by time period. His works through half century, divided into three parts, reflected the limited influence of the history background and ideology, which is an important resource for studying the history of Korean-Chinese literature. The first stage, from the mid-1950s to late 1970s, his works of affection and the poetry containing local emotions were mainstream in it and after the “Great Leap Forward” and the “Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution”, has produced a lot of songs based on political ideals due to the periodic emotions and political repression. The second stage, 1980s, his works shows the changed consciousness of him, who has received political and ideological liberation along with the policy of reformation and opening. During this period, he turned his attention to nature and all living creatures with a wide range of observations and creation of lyric poetry, singing beautiful landscapes and singing local sentiments and acclaims. The third stage, from the 1990s to the end of 2010, the previous local emotional and romantic tendencies have disappeared and realistic trends have begun to emerge. The works of this period, produced a lot of poems in which the poet contemplates and reflects on his life. Many works were full of criticism and satire against classical scholar spirits, which is contented in poverty and devoted to things. As one of the korean-chinese poets, the creation of his depiction is marked by the historical flow of Korean poetry. Therefore, it has a significant meaning not only in Korean poetry history, but also in the future possibility by studying his life, social background, in-depth discussions on various aspects of his work. What’more, it can be a starting point to study his poetry in earnest.
