The career management concept is changing rapidly in the career management field in recent years. The existing research has recently identified Grit as the core competency for success. In the field of career management Grit is deemed to have a positive impact on the self-directed career management and career success of the individual, but no research has been substantially investigated this relationship. Moreover, there is no study that examines career success by dividing into objective and subjective dimensions. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to determine how Grit affects the individual's self-directed career success and career success. This research has conducted a survey on the domestic office jobs in various fields in Korea. Totally, 192 data have been collected and analyzed. The results and findings of this study are as follows. The results showed that the self-directed career management was significantly affected by grit(consistency of interest, perseverance of effort). Second, the career success was significantly affected by grit(perseverance of effort). Third, the self-directed career management has significantly a positive impact on career success.
