As land resources diminish and climates change, humanitarian interest in the ocean as a valuable source of livelihood is growing exponentially. Marine food resources for future generations can be an effective alternative to the food crisis in particular. This article, based on Rev. Moon’s view of the ocean and global peace, explores a vision of peace that expands beyond the political unrest surrounding the food crisis, and presents a possible solution. This article, based on the ocean project of Rev. Moon, suggests that effective securing and harvesting of marine food resources can be the key to realizing global peace through the ocean. Furthermore, it proposes a direction of peace achieved through the acquisition of marine food sovereignty.
