The purposes of this study were to examine advantages and disadvantages of woodworking education in elementary school(WEES), present cases of making 'wooden ware', and propose settlement plan of WEES. This study was carried out through literature review. The following recommendations were made from the result of this study. 1) Considering WEES' merits such as a cultivation of creative thinking, body valance development, and offering of sensible interaction with nature, a lot of efforts should be made so that WEES can be settled. 2) Settlement plans of WEES were proposed as contents of wooden ware which can motivate strongly, give high satisfaction and usefulness, and strengthening of teacher education, construction of practice environment. 3) Cases of making 'wooden ware' which were introduced can be used properly as materials for woodworking in elementary school. 4) Well-matched and semi-structured problems for woodworking in elementary school should be prepared. Because open-structured problem can promote creative thinking, but needs long time, closed-structured problem can produce useful wooden ware, but obstruct creative thinking.
