With the advancement of modern medicine, human life expectancy has increased, leading to societal aging. This highlights the importance of maintaining independence and promoting social participation among the elderly. Consequently, there is a need for safe and accessible means of transportation. Therefore, this study aims to propose a direction for mobility design that considers the convenience and usability of the elderly to address mobility issues and enhance their quality of life. The research consisted of three stages to understand the current mobility market: first, usability analysis was conducted through observational experiments based on user experiences, setting personas and identifying pain points regarding product functionality and usability. Second, product design analysis was carried out by extracting design evaluation factors through interviews with consumers using the KJ method, classified into five types, and analyzing domestic and international design trends using the SD5 scale. Third, consumer sentiment analysis was conducted using MD Excel and SPSS 18.0 to analyze design characteristics. The research results identified the current design trends and orientation points for each element of elderly mobility products, deriving a direction for product design research. This direction proposes mobility designs that prioritize aesthetically pleasing and functionally convenient solutions for the elderly, considering ergonomic principles.
