These days the Internet traffic grows rapidly, especially due to contents transmission with high proportion of Internet video traffic. In order to lessen the amount of traffic, Content- Centric Networking (CCN), which is one of future Internet technology, is introduced. CCN has cache in the router and store the contents to reduce bandwidth consumption and enable to distribute the contents efficiently, which is major difference with current IP network, Due to limited cache size and Least Recently Used (LRU) algorithm, however, current CCN cannot reduce bandwidth consumption efficiently based on degrading cache hit ratio. In this paper, we propose the group-based coopertive caching strategy to make the group with adjacent routers and manage router caches to overcome current problems above. Also, we evaluate the performance and verify our scheme in case of cache hit ratio, average latency time, and average hop count.
