The purpose of this study is to work out the rate of change and to find the direction in exports amount of major 6 countries among the New Southern countries. The data were extracted from the Korean Statistical Information Service. The analysis period is annual data for a total of 15 years from 2007 to 2021. When looking at the volatility in descriptive statistics for each country, Singapore shows a relatively large volatility, while Indonesia shows a small one. In the correlation coefficient, the correlation for NSC shows the highest correlation in the order of Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines and Thailand. In the regression analysis with NSC as the dependent variable, Vietnam, Thailand and Philippines were statistically significant. Growth rate was highest in the order of Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines and Malaysia. Singapore, Vietnam and the Philippines showed a relatively high rate of change, whereas Indonesia showed a low rate of change, showing a stable figure. In the Scatter analysis, Vietnam showed a similar direction for NSC. On the other hand, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand appear to move independently of NSC. For economic development in the future, Korea should continue to pay attention to ASEAN while implementing export diversification policies as well as China.
