This study explores the experiences and meanings of students' participation in art therapy-based online classes as a liberal arts class in a university in the global pandemic context of COVID-19, where the advent of the fourth industrial revolution and university education are bound to be different from before. The results of this study are as follows. First, the experience of participating is learning and pursuing the existence of one category, the duality of non-face-to-face, and true 'I' in the duality of non-face-to-face. It was divided into 3 topics, 9 contents of liberation from wounds and healing. Second, the meaning of participation was categorized into one category of 'I' that challenges through change and growth, two topics of expecting growth and change, and five contents. In conclusion, while the university students participated in the liberal arts curriculum based on their chosen, there were limitations and stiffness in communication. And found 'I' who is challenging through change and growth. This indicates that they experienced self-reflection, the ultimate goal pursued by the libera arts education of university, and achieved growth and change.
