In recent years, China has made significant innovations in the semiconductor field. In contrast to the rapid growth of the semiconductor market, however, China's semiconductor industry still lacks technology for competitive production in the market compared to Europe, the United States, Japan and South Korea. In other words, the development of the semiconductor industry is stagnant. On the other hand, this study was conducted because Korea needs to draw out the strategies and policies necessary for the development of China's semiconductor industry, given that Korea has gained a lot of success experience in developing its semiconductor industry in a short period of time. According to the research results, the Korean semiconductor industry was led by the national policy and funding, the technical cooperation between industry and academia, and the reverse cycle of investment that runs counter to the market cycle. And the weaknesses of China's semiconductor industry, subject to this strategy, are as follows. First of all, the investment strategy focusing only on short-term profits, the timing lag of technology as a latecomer of the semiconductor industry, the lack of conversion rate of science and technology, and finally the shortage of professionals. In this study, the success factors of Korea's semiconductor industry and China's pharmaceutical factors were analyzed on a timely basis, and the policy alternatives necessary for the development of China's semiconductor industry were presented.
