Nowadays, in the field of medical service environment, there is a shift from the service provider focus to the consumer focus. To increase the consumer satisfaction with the medical service, it is important to understand how the job attitudes and behaviors of health care workers change and the interest on the role of leadership which can cause such changes is also increasing. By performing empirical analysis, this study proved that the influence of authentic leadership on the job crafting of subordinates and the mediation effect of trust between authentic leadership and job crafting. To test the proposed hypotheses, data was collected from nurses working in general hospitals of Ulsan metropolitan city and 185 samples were used in this study. SPSS 26.0 and AMOS 26.0 were used to perform statistical analysis. Frequency analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, regression analysis, and structural equation modeling method were performed. As a result, authentic leadership showed positive relationship both trust and job crafting and trust as a mediator between authentic leadership and job crafting. According to the results, the mechanism of how authentic leadership of middle manager in nursing organizations relates to job crafting through the trust on the supervisor is revealed. Based on the result of this study, the trust on the supervisor plays an important role to strengthen the artisan job performance of subordinates through the authentic leadership of the supervisor.
