With the help of the 5G network and new technologies such as the Internet of Things, VR, and AR, the smart classroom has created a new smart learning space that integrates virtuality and reality, realizes the virtualization of digital media professional teaching scenes, breaks through the limitations of time and space and funds, and enables students to gain immersive experience in project-based teaching practice and improve their professional knowledge. On the basis of the universal smart classroom, this research has designed a media-integrated smart classroom based on VR/AR, cloud computing, and other key technologies. We construct the system architecture design and model, analyze the requirements, design and develop the corresponding functional modules, and test them. The research concluded that the exploration and design of the media-integrated smart classroom in environment and equipment, AR/ VR teaching system, virtual simulation teaching resources, and other aspects have promoted the application of VR/ AR technology in the field of digital media education, and better realized the goals of digital media project-based curriculum teaching and talent training.
